Gonna be tough for anyone north of GW to snow enough to accumulate more than a dusting  imo, rates won't get high enough to beat out dry air aloft

greatest forcing is still south/southeast of of LI

Sir what are you talking about... even in my locale they are saying 2-4 inches... u need to be past 84 on the west side to see not much of anything.... the trend has been definitely west so let's see how this unfolds!

That is an increase right from last run right?

.4 precip. expanded NW but .5+ totals aren't found as much. Not sure if that is because storm started. Also tighter gradient just to west of .4 precip. Regardless I think nowcast and hrrr/rap best to use here.

the srefs place the greatest frontgenesis over our area for a few hours. then on the backside more lift as the final heavy bands pull out later on.

Looks like some light snow/maybe inverted trough-type band stays over the NYC area and east in the early evening. The latest HRRR doesn't have it really stopping until 8-9pm.

Just starting to see some flurries here. A worried that all the good stuusff will stay on the other side of the sound for this storm, but we shall see

Hopefully some nice banding can come right in off the sound later on to make us happy ...after all, it's always where the heavy bands set up...good luck!
