I need a pivot or at least a stiffening of the back edge



I think it's definitely stiffening. If it pulls slowly away at a slightly NNE angle, it could hang around. Maybe that band further west over the Shenandoah develops and pushes east

The back edge isn't progressing to the east much, if at all. And that nearly stationary band over southern MD/northern neck has crept north and seems to be merging with our band.

I'm in Prince Frederick and everything is   covered. Snowing at a good clip as well!  I tried posting a pic but have no idea how to get it less than 1.95mb from my iPhone.
