ORH_wxman
Out in clown range, but that is a brutally cold airmass on the Euro near the end of its run and a nice system approaching from the southwest. The ensembles have been hinting at something like this for a few days, so hopefully it becomes trackable after this weekend.

CoastalWx
tHE h7-H5 LIFT is much more pronounced this run. It's definitely not a QPF queen storm. Good fronto well to the NW with these srn stream events. You can tell looking at H5 temps and noticing the ageo flow to the North, crossing height lines. Expand Classic setup for weenie bands well to the NW of the main low. I wouldn't be surprised if this thing becomes a little more stacked closer to the coast anyway...a little more sharpness (or kink) in the southern stream and this will probably not be quite as sloped as the guidance has it right now. Hopefully we continue to see a stronger southern stream.

J Paul Gordon
So far this winter it is a big deal for CC. If I had the same forecast as they do I'd be making a big deal out of it. Now, if it was end of January, February 2015 it would be a mere snow flurry. Its all relative.
