I thought it was going to break a few minutes ago when the sun came out but it set back in even more dense than before. Hopefully it burns off and dries things out a little before tomorrows soaking. The thunder and lightning is more impressive than the rainfall rates right now. gravitylover Posted April 6, 2017 Share Posted April 6, 2017 We had a couple of house shaking thunderclaps and it's been raining moderately for quite some time. There were a couple of short downpours but nothing that made me say wow. It looks like we're still under 1" for the day but everything is just soaked and soggy. Heard there is snow falling above 1500 feet and there might even be snow mixing in close to the coast this afternoon because of the cold air just above the surface. I drove around a little bit and when I dropped below about 600 it was just a cold rain but above 700 it was all snow. No accumulation but it came down fairly hard for a little while and was nice to see. It won't bother me if it's the last flakes for the season.
