gravitylover
Lucky... It was beautiful here this afternoon, made it to the high 40's, and then around 4 it started raining. Brought the temp down to 27 before it bounced back to 39 where it's stuck now.
gravitylover
Woot, it did flip to snow and brought the temp down to 32. There's a nice fresh coating on the existing snow and on colder surfaces like cars. Last bit o' winter for a while ?

IrishRob17
Last year on this date I had my largest snowfall of the season up to that point....1.9". That total was later crushed on 2/23 with a 2.7" snowfall which was my biggest of the '15-'16 season.

Just to my north and west the sky is dark and the wind came up a little while ago.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it....what that has to do with snowfalls I have no idea but I digress. Adult beverages on the patio Saturday afternoon, la la la lock it up. Hopefully if it's going to be above normal hopefully it's dry with much above temps.

Summers are long and hot around here - nothing wrong with a mellow and prolonged transition to spring IMO. As for the pack, seems like most of my yard has melted down to the layer of sleet from the late Jan ping-fest. That stuff has some teeth.
gravitylover
Lotsa dirt, yard is melting off in a hurry. Made it to (at least) 65 yesterday and a few nights not below freezing did the deed. I could do with winter being over but definitely don't want an extended cool spring.
