What are short range model trends for overnight as far as warmer or colder?  Hoping the sleet can change to snow.

Interesting that upton is still beating the snow drum. They increased their potential for the area but other than a few flakes mixed in I don't think we see any. This is a sleet storm. That warm layer above 850mb is prob gonna be too warm to overcome. Regardless its white out there

Took a ride around 6:30 from new Windsor to goshen. It was 35 in new Windsor and it hit 32 around washingtonville. Coming back the 32 line progressed east to new Windsor. It was slicking up on 94 and coming down at a good clip. Still holding at 32 now with sleet, have about a 1/4 inch of sleet down.

Wondering their reasoning?  Do you have the text?

Snowing here currently with sleet now... no idea lol

Timing...A mixture of Rain, Snow and sleet will Spread across the region this evening from South to North. Precipitation will primarily become Snow and sleet for the overnight hours and will be moderate to locally heavy at times. Some freezing Rain May Mix in at times especially over the higher elevations. Precipitation will taper off by Noon Tuesday.

* Impacts...Snow and slush covered Roads and Low visibility will make for hazardous travel. Sidewalks, driveways and parking lots will be very slippery. The combination of gusty winds and wet snowfall May Lead to some localized Power outages as well. The Tuesday morning Rush hour will be treacherous, caution is advised while driving, and allow Extra travel Time.

Looks as if the coastline busted bad with wind etc... while some of us will overperform up here.... go figure

forcasted winds like that from nor'easters are almost always usually overdone

Whats interesting is that most models bring the height of the event after midnight. Considering what has already fallen that might be a must see
