Truthfully I think we stay sleet, but man do we dump sleet all night... worth it... better than pouring rain

Hoping the sleet can change to snow. Interesting that upton is still beating the snow drum. They increased their potential for the area but other than a few flakes mixed in I don't think we see any. This is a sleet storm. That warm layer above 850mb is prob gonna be too warm to overcome. Regardless its white out there
White Gorilla
I am fine with a nice sleet storm as long as it looks wintry out there. Snow is better, but sleet definitely better than rain.

hudsonvalley21
Took a ride around 6:30 from new Windsor to goshen. It was 35 in new Windsor and it hit 32 around washingtonville. Coming back the 32 line progressed east to new Windsor. It was slicking up on 94 and coming down at a good clip. Still holding at 32 now with sleet, have about a 1/4 inch of sleet down. White Gorilla
I would think that as the low center gets closer, warmer air would strengthen at 850 leading to transition to rain in some areas.
