raindancewx
It's interesting seeing the snowband going a bit further south in both NC & NM systems with this run of the Euro through 66 hrs. It may have figured out how much cold air there is.

goldman75
Did the south trend help the coastal areas of nc/sc any? As in help I mean maintain an inch or two accum
SN_Lover
Euro shifted about 50-100 miles NW of it's 12z position at hour 60. Not really worried about precip.

Snowless in Carrollton
Wow that looks awful for my area. I'm definitely going to have to drive south for this one.
griteater
The trough is actually a little sharper this run as it tracks through GA....it just continues to be a late bloomer, but I would think good precip explosion there in the E Carolinas, and probably more than shown on the model back to the west

Tyler Penland
Euro is fully saturated at 850 and 700 riding up the mountains with very, very little precip to show for it. I'd think there'd be quite a bit of upslope precip going on there that maybe it's not picking up.

If this is how it turns out, what a win for the GFS as far as things in Georgia go. It's been showing that look for the past 8+ runs.

SnowDawg
I also don't see that inverted trough/warm nose feature coming up from Sav. river valley on the euro. Seems like the GFS with this feature is the only one that wants to break out some solid QPF in the western NC mountains/NE GA mountains/far NW upstate. cg2916
ECMWF has roughly half the QPF that the GFS is showing for MBY
Bsudweather
Now if we can just get a bit more NW so we can push some of those amounts north of 85 in upstate we would be setting pretty!
Cheeznado
What is interesting about the Euro is how early the precip breaks out in the ATL area-1-2" by 00Z Saturday on the Euro. That would be a much worse scenario for the traffic situation here- shades of 2014?
