The surface low is just starting to take shape off the VA Capes. For now, winds are still out of the Southeast. I think by the time the surface low can make it far enough Northeast and flip the winds around the front will already have been through here with not much moisture left.

How about this forecast for 6300ft in NH:

Thursday:
In the clouds w/ snow, falling heavy at times late. Snow accumulations 3 - 5”.

  • High: Upper teens
  • Wind: S shifting SE at 25-40 mph increasing to 35 – 50 mph w/ gusts up to 65 mph
  • Wind Chill: 5 below - 5 above

 

 

Thursday Night:
In the clouds w/ snow, falling heavy at times and a slight chance of thunderstorms. Additional snow accumulations 16 – 24”.

  • Low: Upper single digits above
  • Wind: SE shifting W at 35-50 mph increasing to 80 – 100 mph w/ gusts up to 125 mph possible
  • Wind Chill: 20 - 30 below

 

 

Friday:
In the clouds w/ snow early, tapering to snow showers. Snow accumulations 2 – 4”.

  • High: Lower single digits above
  • Wind: W at 70-90 mph decreasing to 60 - 80 mph w/ gusts up to 105 mph early
  • Wind Chill: 25 - 35 below
