The flow is hostile to development of anything significant. That wasn't even the system that was the threat before. That one is almost totally washed out. But there is time for it to trend better. I'm not as worried about a miss south as simply a flow that's bad for amplification.

Isn't that 144+hr event technically our storm we were watching for next Saturday for a while? The energy split tho with a rogue wave ejecting from the main vorticity Thurs-Fri with the main sw hanging back off the Oregon coast. Finally heads East and develops later in the weekend on the GFS. Interesting....maybe the caboose wave will be the one to produce.
