I think we should all have to sign something that says we can never bring up 12/9/05 as an analogue.

Computer models often model precip falling after the SLP center has past our latitude, but it rarely occurs as modeled.  Once the center passes, precip shuts off.

Just saw the NAM.  I was going to use the exact same words.  Impressive upper level divergence and lift.  Short duration but very intense.  Suspect solution on its own but it has support from the mid-range guidance and it has steadily trended towards a higher impact scenario.
