TugHillMatt
3 to 4 inches of snow from this event over here in the Spring Lake/Muskegon area. Not bad for a 5 hour event! Big, fat beautiful dendrites for most of it. Very pleased for several reasons: got more than the 1 to 2 inches they were calling for, it is beautiful outside with everything caked, and hopefully this will help us break through the thaw with a decent snowpack still in place. How much do you have on the ground?
DAFF
Once again the HRRR did well in our region last night in the depiction of precip types over head. -Rn from start to finish here at home. A tiny bit of icing on gravel on the onset of rain. One more week to go for this useless Pacific jet induced pattern.

We have had so many things this week to make it vary...blowing and drifting earlier in the week to paste snow last night that doesn't collect under trees because the trees collect it all. The warm lake has been detrimental in us having a better snowpack. There has been quite a marine influence, with temps in the mid-upper 30s much of the week. In the future, I know that an above average lake temp. is NOT good for the immediate lakeshore.
