raindancewx
Some of you probably look at the Weatherbell meteograms from the European for your area. For those that don't, the meteograms have daily highs, lows, and precip/snowfall estimates for a 45 day period updated every Mon/Thurs. Was wondering if there was any kind of skill verification for each of the items forecast. It would be interesting to know what the meteograms are best at forecasting by specific location, or just generally. I've asked Ryan Maue on twitter, but I don't know if he'll respond. Anyone know? Thanks.
Jon
No they don't. That's so mesoscale it would take a lot of processing power and data to get that done. Just like anything else it's probably not that great, Euro verif. is around 50% at day 10...so extrapolate that out to the eps past day 10 or whatever you're doing.
