tamarack
Just a few stray flakes so far at AUG, plus some blowing around of older snow. Not much upstream either, at least not yet.
powderfreak
Been below zero on the mountain since around noon today... down at home now its 10F with some blowing snow. Last night and today's 1.5" is blowing all over the place but man does it look like deep winter now. Snowpack around 8-9" in the yard but everything is just stacked high from multiple events....that layered cake look on all the trees, bushes, roof-tops. This is what we missed last year. And snow depth at the office at 1,500ft is now exactly at 20". That's where it really looks like deep deep winter.

ORH_wxman
Meso low over SE MA on the NAM again. It is impressive how cold the NAM is still at 12z Sat morning. It's in the teens pretty close to BOS.

In the past with a 2ndary over CC..that would lock temps in low maybe mid 30's interior areas south of 90..mayeb touching 37-38..then dropping back off a bit ..why is it not doing that on this one? dryslot
If the Nam's temp profile is correct, We don't see temps past 42°F up here on Sunday afternoon before they crash back below freezing late Sunday evening

Because the secondary is tracking almost over CT and then ENE over SE MA. 18z run was a little further south than previous so it kept your area colder than the 12z run. Typhoon Tip
technically if that were to happen those are warning level numbers in there... but, we dig and dig for that one model that aligns with our desires, and then post those - i'd like someone to post the GFS clown product and be all like, 'sweeet' - just to even it out.
