I don't know if anyone is noticing, but I think Eskimo Joe is a bit bullish on this and maybe us grabbing a few hours of snow. 

On a serious note, it doesn't look to be a big event by any means but the rgem does raise an eyebrow and the Gfs was definitely wetter and a bit south with the system/associated qpf.

lol I rarely if ever do it. Was just trolling H2O a bit.

That Dogfish was especially heavy so I popped a cube in it once and I actually enjoyed it. I mostly go for imperial stouts in the 8-10% range.

I am.  The airmass is fresh and deep.  No doubt we torch eventually but the start of the precip is primed for some fun and we need to cherish any frozen we get this year.

It's hard to accrete ice effectively once you get over 30 degrees, but year that's a solid couple of hours of ice.  Psyched.

I actually think it does snow for a few hours with waa precip starting earlier than expected as you said.

Do you mean Sat? If so, temps are above freezing all the way into central PA by 18z. OTOH- precip through 12z is only a little bit less than the RGEM.

You guys know CAD usually never erodes as fast as modeled so maybe GGEM is biased toward longer CAD...just a theory

12z GGEM has DC 0.5"+ QPF through 18z SAT... probably close to 0.7"
