Pretty pathetic what this event resulted in compared to what could have been. Still, third consecutive weekend storm - it's been an impressive December. Hoping January doesn't flip on us.

Very true. Was just taking about that with a couple of buddies. We've had a decent start, I see the long term has really shuffled things around - looking like highs in the 40's / 50's around Christmas.

End of the snow is almost here. Probably end up being a freezing drizzle/sleety morning and afternoon and maybe a little 1-2" thump later in the evening but feel that's probably optimistic. Those dry models might be right after all.

Indianapolis is a total mess right now from the freezing drizzle. Basically every highway is a parking lot full of crashes.

I just drove to the store an hour ago, 2 miles on country roads, it took me 30 white knuckle minutes.  I-70 West of 109 is closed due to ice.

Didn't get as much out of that heavy band that passed through central OH as I expected. "Walked" outside and saw a coating of ice on pretty much everything though, and almost fell a couple of times.  Definitely would not want to be out on the roads right now around here. Backyard station showing 29F right now and still pretty moderate -FZRA falling. As much as I love interesting meteorological events, ice storms aren't something I enjoy.
