BuffaloWeather
https://www.wunderground.com/weather-radar/united-states-regional/mi/cadillac No southward shift until you hit the northern part of Huron. There is usually a 6-8 hour window before that gets here. Band should strengthen in next few hours as it consolidates.

DeltaT13
Thats one of the strongest best bands I've seen in awhile. It's doing its best to hit Monroe but still only flurries in my backyard. About to leave for a mini chase into Orleans/Genesee county.

It's a really nice band but still some shear in it. If they both consolidated it would be 4-5" per hour instead of 1-3" per hour. But that's just me being picky. BuffaloWeather
...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHERN ERIE... SOUTHERN NIAGARA...NORTHWESTERN GENESEE AND SOUTHERN ORLEANS COUNTIES... At 545 PM EST, A band of heavy lake effect snow producing snow fall rates of 1 TO 2 inches per hour...with embedded areas of up to 3 inches per hour at times will continue from the Buffalo metro area north to Grand Island...northeastward through southern Orleans and northwestern Genesee Counties through early this evening. Winds in excess of 30 mph are possible with this band of lake effect snow...which will cause near whiteout conditions at times due to the combination of heavy snow and blowing snow. SouthBuffaloSteve
This is shaping up to be a great event. Right in the fringe here. Left work in OP at 5 not a flake and it just starts snowing at the WS SB line. Hard to measure but a solid 5" here. In and out of bursts but the winds right in the edge of this band are super intense and even when it's not snowing are blowing up white outs. SouthBuffaloSteve
It's November 2000 all over IMO. The models don't have it moving until after midnight. NAM and RGEM.Pretty close just luckily it's peaking on the tail end of the rush and not just before. Plus many left work early so even it really piles up to 12-18 traffic issues shouldn't be as extreme. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
lakeeffectkid383
Can definitely see a southward shift on radar last few frames. Will likely be outta here by 8pm. Absolutely insane rates though here. 2-3" an hour easily. At least 6" in Amherst and still getting obliterated.
DeltaT13
Orleans County is getting crushed from a radar standpoint. The band is really tightening up now...That northern side is razor sharp too. Amazing stuff. If i knew it was going to be this juicy I would have taken off work and just punched in and out of that northern side all night. Kicking myself for not being ready....
