lakeeffectkid383
That band looks like it's getting shredded apart by winds. Maybe it's just me but I'm not impressed with a 2 sheared band structure...

Buffalo Bumble
Been stuck in the crotchal area between the 2 bands most of the afternoon, just an inch or 2 so far with intermittent bursts of heavy snow. Snowing very hard though for last 30 minutes. Easy 2"/hr rate.
WNash
We're finally getting the better stuff in NE Buffalo. Low visibility, maybe 1.5"/hr.

It's always something lol, high winds are really tearing apart these bands hence the double structure hopefully they consolidate over the city for the next couple of hours if not it's looking like downtown northward might see the lowest amounts while areas south and east of the city come with the heaviest total. Buffalo Bumble
Ah, nothing like taking a walk around the block when it's 24 degrees, SW wind gusting over 35 mph, and snow falling at 2-4"/hr. This just never gets old...

I can stop whining (for a little while!). Seriously, even with a short residence time, this is better than have had in a while. Some very fast moving and weakening bands have passed through in the last few winters, but I don't recall seeing a band oriented like this since early 2014. Buffalo Bumble
Very hard to measure with the high winds, but estimate I'm at about 4 inches. Steady 2"/hr. rates ongoing, with occasional ramp-ups to who knows what rate with near zero vis.
