Thanks for starting Midlo!

** if you are new to the area, please post here, or send me your lat/long. does not have to be your exact location. Can be nearby, a park, school, whatever... is perfectly fine. your location will be used in the end of the season map that I have done for a few years now**

thank you!

Do you still have lat/lon for the veterans?

Yes. Anyone who has participated in years past, I've got your lat/long already

Just need it for those who are new to the area, who have moved since last year, or who has never offered snow totals before.

  • 2 weeks later...

12/30:  T   (first Dec. flakes in 3 years)

01/05:  1.6" (late evening light snow.  Cold.)

01/07:  T   (fringed by SE snowstorm.)

1/10:    T  (early morning dusting, ushering in milder air)  (snow-cover from 1/5 - 1/10)

1/23:   .5" (monsoon rainstorm turned to afternoon sleet, then snow for a time, slushy accumulation before ending)

1/30:   .5" (overnight clipper.  nothing on sidewalks or streets.  1.75" just to my south in Middletown.)

2/9:     1" (remaining on ground from 2 HEAVY afternoon snow squalls, after forecasted early-morning snow failed)

3/13-14:  5.3" (on elevated surfaces, significantly less on hard surfaces) (Models looked good for something bigger for                         days, then began to fall apart 18 hours before start time.  In the end, this was a dud.)

Total:  8.9"

That's a wrap for this 'winter'.  Couldn't even crack double-digits.  Warmest Feb in history, another December dud, trees flowering and leafing in the last week of February.  This region is surely the armpit of the world.
