mackerel_sky
As per usual, the strong part of the line is falling apart N of ATL and the storms will hit about Aiken to Greenwood, to CAE! I guess we will still get some rain, but would be nice to get a t storm !

LovingGulfLows
Surprised this isn't getting more attention considering a confirmed tornado is rampaging through a major metropolitan area of around 6 million people.
a5ehren
"Rampaging" is a bit strong. I'd be shocked if we see anything beyond shingle/tree damage.
NorthArlington101
Surprised this isn't getting more attention considering a confirmed tornado is rampaging through a major metropolitan area of around 6 million people.Yeah, the debris ball is certainly evident even if the circulation isn't that strong. Certainly may be some widespread damage

That's usually what happens in the Atlanta area. You hardly ever see the kind of damage in the ATL area like you see in AL or even NW GA like around Dalton. Yeah it's radar confirmed not ground confirmed. The debris signature is weak and possibly just the result of what it destroyed earlier.

NEGa
Just had a big burst move through here - very dark, poured rain and winds were blowing big time. all is quiet now, it lasted maybe 15 minutes or so. There were just a couple of claps of thunder so all in all not that big a deal here (other than the rain, which is greatly needed). It looks like the more severe wx was around atlanta towards the athens/jefferson areas
