Snowstorms
YYZ was about a degree (C) above normal for December. 16.3" in December at YYZ bringing our season total so far to 16.7". Avg. until December 31 is 14.7", so slightly above average so far. With nothing imminent in the next 5-10 days, looks like the avg. and season total will be on par soon. In comparison, the infamous 11-12 winter had 16.8" in total. Average start in my books!

I had 18.5" in December imby. I finished the 2016 calendar year with 47.2" of snow and 37.77" of precip. Detroit officially saw their 4th warmest year on record (52.9F), finishing with 44.7" of snow and 34.74" of precip. Both figures are slightly above normal. hawkeye_wx
I finished 2016 with 45.62" of precip, a good 10" above avg. Eight of the last ten years have had above to well above avg precip.
