If we can hold this pattern we get a 2-4 exhibition on the Clipper and then move this baby North for Sunday and we have our big one. Of course being cautious as we all know that this only verifies about 10% of the time for our area. haha

We at least are in the game for this one. How is long will it be till that one guy comes on here and tells us we are being idiots for following the models? north pgh
And then a 3rd wave coming mid week? Maybe too warm. Flooding issues next week possible if this all comes to be.
colonel717
Suppressed 2nd wave on CMC. Same with UKIE
jwilson
As tempting as it is, I'm not buying in until we're <36 hours to the onset. Far too much can go wrong, especially for the southern zones where we're fighting climo more than those to the North. I will say this is surprisingly impressive for March. Still have trust issues because of this winter.

Mailman
GEFS mean has 5"+ area wide thru day 7. As you could imagine, there are some pretty substantial member hits in there. Heh.
MikeB_01
Biggest difference between the GFS and CMC on the clipper is the speed. The trough is slightly deeper on the CMC and booting the energy out of here before it has a chance to get going.
RitualOfTheTrout
I'm more concerned about suppression \ shearing out at this point. Euro didn't look all that strong last night, CMC basically has no storm for Sunday and Ukie is pretty far suppressed too, and the GFS has been moving South since 18z yesterday. Will be interesting to see what the Euro says.

But one positive is that we tend to do well with inverted troughs, and if the HP presses more east of the Apps, this will tend to pump that inverted trough even more.
