Come on, the last straw.....? I think we have this quote from you every year since you started posting on here... You must have straw reserves that you keep pulling out... :D

I think we are going to have to put up with a few more cutters before we get our chance.  I think we have to wait until early Feb before we see a pattern favorable for us esp. for a storm which could give us all 6+.

Eventually you run out of straws. My reserves are running low.

I just found this site this week.  It is mainly for the EC, NYC area but they are full of good info.  It has moved to the top of my list for go to sites.  It may help build up your reserves...

Euro control doesn't even show a hint at snow. I don't know what people are seeing.

Not sure.  I did see this earlier today.  Oh and apparently there was a 952 bomb on the weeklies near Boston

you said control, i assumed you meant ensembles, not weeklies

or maybe i mis-ready

My source wasn't specific. On Wx Bell, the Weeklies come in Control and EPS mean.

Per the EAR maps that more or less correlates with the mouth of the Chesapeake / Delmarva region. Something cooking for around the 20-23rd?

The next best storms are always 10 days away!  Haha!

There will likely be some event occurring at or around the time of the supposed pattern change.  We'll have to measure all those other details later.  I'm still somewhat skeptical of anything getting locked-in long term this winter.  Maybe we get a two-week window of good opportunity as this two-week window of no opportunity fades away.

Not looking forward to any ice tomorrow.  Hopefully it's much ado about nothing.

I agree.  Am very skeptical of any long term locked in pattern.  Not much in AGC with ice storm.  Looks to be KC area hit with the moving of the game time.

Not worried. Still 2 weeks away. The cold air will be moving in and storm patterns will change over time.

Agree, barring some fluke only thing we will be tracking is the long range pattern on the EPS \ GEFS hoping to see the good setup hold and keep moving forward in time. If we can get locked and loaded into a decent setup by the end of January things can turn around quickly.

Realistically we are probably looking at this time next week before any details start to emerge.

Cool, great input, thanks for contributing, cause you know we all were taking a 276hr map seriously.... thanks for dropping by, have a safe trip back to TN forum...

And that's why I never venture away from this page anymore. I used to visit some of the other pages, including the sports pages, and had to deal with some very obnoxious people. I'll stay put here and just deal with you guys instead. Lol

Heard some pings earlier, now seeing some snowflakes falling. Hopefully stay out of the zr though. Not really expecting much up this way so I was surprised to see areas as far north as Kittanning in the advisory, but then again it doesn't take much ice to create a big problem.
