If they dropped low enough there could be frost warnings issued this afternoon. I would assume you'll be in the same boat if not ultimately cooler. Current dew point at RDU is 35, Hickory is 37. My daughter is at WCU and there was a wildfire there in October that restarted Friday. She works at a grocery store in Sylva and they almost closed early last night because the smoke was getting all into the store. Last I heard, the fire was covering 535 acres. downeastnc Posted November 8, 2016 Share Posted November 8, 2016 32 at PGV first freeze of the year.....just factoring in 2000-2016 the mean date for first 32 for that period is Nov 8th so right on schedule lol.....the mean going back to when records began is Nov 2nd so this year is right on time with the first freeze.... edit: was only 32 for one obs so far then bounced to 36 on the next reading and has jumped around since then......
