I live in the NE suburbs and IMBY I have seen exactly one shower since the middle of August. Literally. Not one drop here other than that one day in over 70 days. The growing season ended in the mountains mountains and no freeze warning was ever issued even when temps hit 32 and below for a day or two in Boone. There is currently a frost warning for the central and southern mountains. The northern mountains are now out of the frost/freeze warning criteria.
