It looks like the subtropical low dumbbells back into the Maritimes as a deep low forms near the NE or MA with strong CAA. Hard to specify anything more outside the 120 hr forecast window for storms. 0z Euro was most bullish on the high wind potential to our SW but we'll see how it goes. Few rumbles here as well. Surprised to see the winds out of the north. I was expecting more of an onshore flow. This should keep the coastal flood threat down

ForestHillWx
Sitting in a dry slot in western Morris County; hoping it pushes a bit further west/northwest. We could use it.
weathermedic
Up to .91 now. A welcome sight. Noticed some coastal flooding this morning as I was driving to work through the Rockaways. Water was coming up through some of the sewer grates in the usual areas and causing the roads to be under 6-12 inches of water. Good thing this storm wasn't any stronger. NWS extended the coastal flood advisory to 11am. Was originally to 9am.

JerseyWx
Heavy downpours. A rain event that overperformed to say the least. Also, that smoke from the brush fire in Harriman really carried. I smelled it on 287, beginning a little past the 23 exit.
