Although the turn to somewhat colder that was expected around the 15th was wrong , it now appears the 12z GFS ensemble guidance now sees the 18th as the date . More important than the actual departures , it is building the block in the Atlantic . So although I don`t expect the PAC to slow down much , you do run the chance of running any lobes of energy crossing the CONUS underneath .
