USCAPEWEATHERAF
We like these type of cutters because they deepen below 975mb and usher in the extremely cold airmass.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
It still doesn't fully phase the arctic jet into the storm, I would wait for this storm in the future runs of the EURO and CMC as well as the GFS.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
I just want to see a storm at the benchmark with a phased arctic and polar jet streams support and a 940mb modeled low just to see what type of low level jet winds will be present in that type of low. USCAPEWEATHERAF
GFS does not support the teleconnections right now.
USCAPEWEATHERAF
Yeah the CMC develops something near the TX/MX border by end of the run, while the GFS continues to dump the cold air into the Rocky Mountains and central Plains, which is where we want the cold air through mid December to only shift eastward before Christmas to set us up for a white Christmas. Gosh one can only hope, lol.
ORH_wxman
Lets ease off the clown range play by play in this thread and talk about general pattern or threats that are a little closer (i.e. T-day and the weekend). If someone wants to start just a model thread, feel free to do so, but we don't want this thread becoming one long play by play thread for models at 200+ hours. USCAPEWEATHERAF
Will what would wind gusts theoretically look like for a storm with a low pressure of 940mb and a high pressure system of 1035mb?

What NJ got in Sandy. No offense James, but can we cool it with your fantasy storms....stay in reality in this thread please.
USCAPEWEATHERAF
Yeah of course WinterWolf, I will no doubt stay within reality. I really think though the dam of cold air breaks into the US as the EPO turns negative and the PNA responds to positive levels towards the first of December. Then it will eventually move over to 70w longitude by the middle of the month.
USCAPEWEATHERAF
If anything there should be a parade of miller B/cutters to infiltrate the cold arctic air push to the east eventually, each making a step down process of cold air with the main dumpage of the arctic into the Rockies and Central Plains.
