Man, these T storms are worse than anything over the summer....like something out of a Friday The 13h movie....just non-stop torrential rains and vivid lightning.

Globals FTL with this. I looked at every hi res model for this, and they all showed this potential...just varying where it will happen. I use the locations as goal posts two days out and then successive model runs along with intuition and nowcasting help narrow it.  I am not surprised at all at the rain rates. Not one bit. You take a highly anomalous PWAT plume and then add cold season forcing to it...boom. I saw my heaviest rain rates ever in October back in 2011.  October produces the rain.

Time for the annual reminder that fall/winter t-storms are stronger than anything I ever see in the summer. Frequent lightning at the moment, steady but not torrential rains.

1.23". Stopped the leak for now. Crappy stove pipe installers didn't put enough flashing and/ or roof sealant outside. Blown cellulose in ceiling wet. Not cool
