Yup. Reservoirs 50% capacity etc etc. We had like 4 inches in August.. but after that Sept and oct very dry

The outflow is moving east ahead of ORH band, but slowly, so that it basically acts as a warm front. Strong SE low level flow moves up and over that front. If you notice, the NE CT band is moving rather steadily as as the weak frontal boundary moves ENE so this whole band will slowly march east.

Check out slow the line is moving NE of ORH on velocity. All that air shoved up and over boundary. October can produce prolific rains with leftover high PWAT and better synoptics.

Nice.  That's a solid pull right there.

When I was in Woodstock in August we had 2.5" in like 12 hours.  Today's tops that.

The Woodstock station closest to my parent's lake house is showing 3.98".

This is just sick...not only today but in like the last 3 hours.

Rare to get this type of rainfall set up over an ASOS.  You can hit those 1.5"/hr rain rates but never for a full 2-3 hours and rarely right over an ASOS.

First hour 0.59", second hour 1.58", third hour 1.39", so far in the 4th hour 0.30".

They are around 4" now since 5:15pm (3 hours).
