Blizzard conditions at Rochester? 61 MPH wind gust, impressive stuff! Concord with almost a foot!

They are 16 miles from me. Lake effect is incredible. (16.7 miles) via US-219 N

The one that stopped a mile south of downtown? Most of the actual population of metro Buffalo were in the same boat as you.

For real, this has been a years long shaft for central Buffalo and northtowns.

Yeah the last good Airport lake effect band was January 2014 with 18.6" I think.

Well yeah, Buffalo north is rarely the jackpot zone, just to far north. They were jackpot in 2006, 2001, 98/99 time period.

Fair enough, point is that this is a multi-year drought not of jackpots but just of regular LES - the 240-250 flow hasn't been there for years. Even by that account it's a decade since a real jackpot, which is a mighty long while. This latest one is so ridiculous it's hilarious, but the thing is: this isn't a make-up for anything, it's just a continuation of the long streak of misses for Buffalo.

Yeah it's been pretty bad for the Metro area north. The few times they were supposed to be hit the winds were to strong or was to much dry air.

10 year cycles?

Metro big hits Dec 95, Nov 00, Dec 01, Oct 06.

Just misses but hits in South Buffalo Dec 10, Nov 14.

Might have some droughts here but when we get hit we take it hard. How many other places can log 5-6" per hour rates. Just gotta really take advantage we get our few big ones.
