Hvward
Beautiful this morning in the high country, I have been out live streaming all morning. The Viaduct is awesome in the snow. Check out my videos on my facebook page Ashevillewx.

Was hoping to snag some pictures of Wilson Creek but a bit too foggy.

No flakes at all but was not expecting any either. I like the look of the Euro. seasonable to normal.
Met1985
Boy this rain today has been perfect. We have received over 4.5 inches in 7 days.
CAD_Wedge_NC
Took a trip up to Beech Mtn earlier today. They had about 1.5 inches on the ground up top before the switch. Very beautiful. It was truly an elevation dependent event. Most of the Blowing Rock area had accumulating snow whereas Boone did not have any. Usually, it's the other way around. Tyler Penland
Wound up dropping below freezing for most of the afternoon here in Blowing Rock. Solid glaze of ice on the trees last time I went outside, mainly in the protected areas not getting poured on. Decent sized icicles off the front porch. SnoJoe
It took until Dec. 4 to get to be able to record a snow total. We had a about an inch. Finally feels like Christmas.

NCSNOW
If I was located in the upslope sweet spots then I'd start getting excited at the 5h pattern next week. not only are you gonna score with the artic front this week, but mid December is showing stronger and stronger signals everyday of northern stream dominated vodka cold as PV sets up shop in perfect position to deliver the goods be it clippers or the GL. Might be able to get one of those multi day nwf events someone was posting about earlier.

Maybe a southern stream system also as we get closer to that period.

Yeah I like the pattern coming up. Whether we get snow or not at least we could see chances.

A pattern conducive to producing winter weather is all we can ask for. I'm disapointed a little with our artic front tommorrow, thought you and Joe had a good shot to score a inch or 2 from the way things where looking this weekend. Oh well onto the next opportunity . Keep firing the darts at the board and one will stick eventually, maybe even hit the bullseye. As has been stated, sure beats last December. SnoJoe
It 25.4 with a 23 mph wind at noon. Pretty chilly.
FlatLander48
Glad I didn't get excited snow wise with these arctic fronts, not really surprised they are drying up. But I do welcome the cold air with open arms. Old people don't drive when it's cold so I get to work faster. But I do believe we are heading for a more favorable pattern for snow. Gonna take a little time though.
Met1985
Pretty cold already with current temp of 24 degrees. we still may see some flurries tonight on an outside chance just along the boarder counties.

FlatLander48
18 and flurries in WJ. One of my friends is so excited because she gets to use the snow feature on her new SUV. Hate to tell her that it really doesn't do anything for flurries...

nchighcountrywx
Nice snow going on in Avery County this morning. 9 degrees out. I had written off some upslope snow with this front, so this came as a welcome event.
