Kmlwx
I wouldn't even be surprised to see some school closings if those rainfall totals verify in spots. Either that or seeing school buses going down rivers...
high risk
Our initial reaction to huge totals like that is always , but I wouldn't dismiss it. While the location of the max will likely jump around in the next cycles, you now have multiple hi-res models (NAM nest, HRRR, and the Hi-Res Windows) all putting a major max somewhere in the DC area. An anomalous LLJ should be cranking overnight, with strong lift over that warmfront and big PW values in place. We saw convection early today put down 3-5" in southern MD, so I would not be at all surprised if some places in our area see 6-8" over the next 18 hours. WEATHER53
So is the assumption that the precipitation mass is going to expand significantly or just come right over us? I ask because it's rather small right now and we are a hard target to hit.

Stormpc
These precip bullseyes mean nothing. Hopping all over the region. Who knows? If I HAD to bet, it would be a central MD jackpot again, only because we all know why. Other than that, I know it wont be by me or near Stephens City, thats certain.
