Santa Claus
Really solid rains for this event over Middlesex. Probably an inch in Piscataway.
uncle W
we are getting a cold rain with the ao -3 for the third straight day...if this pattern returns in the winter we could get a similar coastal event...possibly snow...
Rtd208
A bit surprised by the rain this morning, 0.39" of rain so far today.
e46and2
closing in on an inch here. the drought drama is a little much. it's aesthetic. yes, it's sad to lose an old tree or have a brown lawn, but we are in no danger whatsoever in regard to what we really need water for: drinking, bathing, fighting fires, etc. It is an impressive statistical drought but i think we harp on it a little too much. even in these "severe drought" conditions it is pretty green around here, and even when there isn't rain, there is frequent morning dew this time of year. ForestHillWx
Not much in western Morris County, just a chilly/damp day, with decent winds. We are definitely down in the rain department, is it a severe drought, no. If this pattern persists, next spring/summer may be problematic. I think we will get ours before then; just a hunch. Allsnow
Over a inch of rain if this was January using 10-1 ratio it would have been a great event for the coast

e46and2
almost looks like a final "deform" band going to swing through. had some gusty winds over the last hour, would imagine some more gusts with the final band and then rapidly clearing skies for the late afternoon early evening out here. We need one of those famous 10"+ months that were more common from 2003 to 2011 to erase the rainfall deficit we are still in.
