Looks a little like ocean effect rain running southeast over the ocean from around JFK.

45 here now.  With the column cooling, if we get a heavier burst of rain later, someone around here could see a couple of those odd looking splatters on their windshield.  The summits as close by as the Catskills are below freezing.  Whiteface in the Daks is 25 as of 3PM.  Cold air actually came in earlier in the Cats.  Plenty of snow to be found tomorrow morning if you don't mind taking a hike.

!50 Miles Northwest of NYC, today, 10/22.  Sleet and rain slowly transitioned to snow and sleet.  All snow began around 11am; now that it's getting warmer it's "sticking" less, but still a surprise nonetheless.  Down in the village, about 500 below, there was only rain for the better part  of the morning

I still can't believe last December's min was only 33...we could be 10 degrees colder this December than last December and still be well above average...

150 miles NW of NYC is the Cats or a different climate zone.

I thought about driving up to Vermont of Hunter this morning, but had to have lunch with some bros and watch football.

Seems, Snow must have been 35-50 miles north of I 84 in the higher terrain

I am in Andes, 11 miles SE of Delhi.  My house is a little over 2000', the village is about 1500'.  It is not unusual at all to have snow in Oct here, but today caught me off guard.  07 (maybe 08) we had about 17 inches the weekend before Halloween.

I know Andes, have a friend that lives there.

I flipped the Plattekill webcams on a few times yesterday to watch the snow.  They were getting it all the way down to the base.  Looks great today! http://plattekill.com/mountain-info/web-cam
