Forky is correct with our rain chances next week. The ridge is keeping the storm to far to our nw  to affect us or any interaction with the off shore low until it's up by sne.

Instead we get a dry cold front, but looks to bring in some chilly air next weekend

That rain last week couldn't really ease the drought conditions as all stations are running a rainfall deficit for the month so far.

Average rainfall for the whole month of October around the region is close to 4.40.

NYC...0.78...-1.53

LGA..0.62....-1.38

JFK..1.35....-0.60

ISP...1.37...-0.60

BDR..1.37...-074

EWR..0.66..-1.23

At least you guys got that rainfall, dry up here. I'm fine with it staying dry in the short term to help keep the foliage on the trees but come next month let's hope we can turn the faucet back on.

Yeah, that's a bit worse than me. I don't have my annual deficit available but I've had 1.55 since Sept 1 and .25 since Oct 1

Some of the NYC reservoirs are running pretty low. But other larger ones are doing better lowering the overall deficit.

The Wallkill is the lowest that I've seen it at my house, the level at Gardiner is 1.63' which is close to the third lowest record of 1.59' back on 8/14/66.

So used to seeing it "raging" where 208 crosses in Walden. Crazy we can literally walk across without getting our knees wet

Feels muggy...this warmup is coming with some humidity also. Some stations may be close to warmest for so late in the season the next couple of days...Warmest its been here so late is 81 degrees, suspect we break that.

I noticed that too.  It definitely has a slight muggy feeling out there.
