SlantStickers Anonymous
18z GFS is some nice rains for the region, but OTS and overall what'd be called "NBD."

wthrmn654
Gfs is in the sea but at hour 156 and 162, it's north and west of last run if I'm not mistaken?
78Blizzard
It may be a wobble, but the last couple of frames on the GOES seem to show a more wnw movement, clearly though, not a due north movement. I expect to see the NHC progged track moved west, at least through the next couple of days, on the next update.

I think on that depiction I'd still have some breezy conditions up in Maine. We may be seeing some narrowing of the goal posts though, ,as these two/few runs of the GFS have shifted right while the EC has shifted left. While we're still eons away, things do become clearer with each run.

78Blizzard
8pm EDT plot actually shows a west movement from 3 hours ago. Based on the progs, the NHC doesn't expect any further motion to the west before heading north.

Well, when the Cane passes to our right, some far northern areas of NE may be getting a pre-winter warmup thanks to the Cane.
SlantStickers Anonymous
My friend is in the national guard and apparently he's on standby for the next couple weeks for possible deployment in New England. They had to spend this weekend preparing for for a scenario in which it comes straight up the coast.
