Sorry disagree... it's still moving NE and would need to move sharply SE to cover the NHC track.
WidreMann
Yeah that's a weird map. One, I'm not convinced based on radar that it actually is that far to the NW, and two, I don't understand why the NHC didn't adjust the rest of the near-term track a bit northward. There's no reason for it to move SE unless it's trying to do the NHC a favor.

Yes it's about to move outside the come completely if it doesn't turn completely east or southeast... Also their loop back around is pretty much gone at this point. Angela T
My mom called a little while ago. She lives in Sanford, NC. She has now lost power. There is a creek behind the houses across the street from her which has come out of it's banks, coming up to the doors of the houses. She also said her street is flooded. Luckily, on her side of the road, she lives way up on a hill.

WeatherNC
Crabtree Creek hitting moderate flooding at several gauges, based on radar and the exponential rise one would have to think this is going to be major with a record or two in play. Jet Stream Rider
Look at the light streamers on radar still moving around the center of circulation. That center appears to be offshore, maybe 5 miles or so south of Sunset Beach, east of Myrtle Beach.
