I'm also wondering if it'll be downgraded to Cat 1 soon-it already has the degraded "half-a-cane" look on radar with the south side destroyed by dry air, and over time the appearance continues to get more ragged.

Yes, Fripp Nearshore Buoy had a temp of 185F and an unrealistic pressure fall over 2" of mercury in one hour. So the pressure might not be measured correctly in the near future. Thermometer and/or electronics connected to the themometer are obviously having problems.
