Rjay
The coast might see some rain, gusty winds and minor to moderate coastal flooding. Keep banter to a minimum and please back up your claims. Go.

Hoth
I'm interested that things are so mundane in Montauk because it is really wild on the north side of Fishers Island. I must be regularly gusting into 50s now.
NJwx85
Ended up being a very nice day in Rockland County. Spent the day at the Boulders game. Just a light breeze and cirrus.

NJwx85
We mostly miss out on the rain because even with the center closer, it rotates and ends up well to our South. Even the tucked in models on Thursday/Friday had little rain North of the center.

psv88
Getting very dark to my east. Went down to.sunken meadow beach. Waves are ok, maybe 4 footers, white caps. Wind not impressive, maybe 30 even on the beach. I've seen much worse conditions on clear winter days. Some rain bands in.central suffolk died out. I think that big band out east will slip south of the island.
Hoth
Dudes, I seriously hope this backs into you guys and is still packing a punch. This storm is a boss. The wind is trying to tear my rain spouts off. If PVD is gusting 55, I gotta be over 60 right on the water. Best wind I've seen.

LHSnow
If you want a good recording station on the South Shore of LI - Shinnecock Inlet which has been reporting low 30s winds for most of the afternoon and gusts over 40mph - here is the link - http://www.lishore.org/shinnecock/latest.htm This is my weather station which is on the south side of Peconic Bay and has had a peek gust of 37mph. It has been most in the middle to upper 20s for sustained winds - https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KNYSOUTH60
