mahk_webstah
Was at my cousins' for Thanksgiving. Noticed her son was born 2/17/94. I said "that was a great winter! you were born in a snowstorm!" Other cousin's 17 year old kid (who's house I have visited just to be there in a snowstorm) deadpans and says "Weenie Tag". moneypitmike
It's a sheet of ice out there this morning at the Pit. LOL at the dog who went bounding out and immediately lost her footing when she stepped onto the deck. It looks like nearly everywhere else was above freezing, but I and a couple nearby stations dropped below freezing (I think we're the only places that did per the pdfamily map)--I got to 29*. I did notice when I went to get wood last night that all the stars were out--maybe that was enough to let us radiate a bit.
HoarfrostHubb
Drove back roads (that's all we have) from Hardwick to my house last night. I can't recall ever driving in fog as bad as that before. Had to crawl at times... so tiring

moneypitmike
Quite the variable conditions out there. I just drove back from Greenfield where it was solid overcast, drove through dense fog coming up route 2 out of the valley and arrived back to sun at the Pit. I'll take the sun.... Ice has melted here, but the trees are glistening just down the road, so I think they're still iced a bit there.
moneypitmike
I wasn't counting on the rain today. I hope it moves out pretty quickly, I've got chores to do. Up to 36*.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
Interesting to see if the GFS changes ideas on a colder scenario instead.
USCAPEWEATHERAF
Vortex energy lobe from the PV over the Maritimes around December 2nd favors SNE for some snow on the 4th, we don't know the extent of the snowfall given that the lobe is over Hudson Bay in five days from now. USCAPEWEATHERAF
GFS is a non event now, I guess it will take a miracle to snow before December 8th.

moneypitmike
Two days in a row I can report snow. Yesterday was just occasional flakes in the steady light rain. Legit rate today. 35 off a high of 37.
