Wicked jelly.

(Though I saw two Jets games in 1968, thanks to an uncle's season tix.  1st game they beat the Boston Patriots on Nov. 10 in a roaring northeast storm - had 1.5" snow at our NNJ home.  2nd was the AFL championship, with Lamonica (the Mad Bomber) and Joe Willie heaving long balls in 30 mph winds - they each completed less than 40% of their passes, a combined 34-of-89 for something like 727 yards.  That was the game that sent Namath to SBIII.)

And was Joe's only one, Since then, The JETS have been pretty anemic

This is awesome if you go to the Weather Channel.... just showing peaceful scenes of landscapes.  Its hilarious to switch to it...like watching PBS but its such an awesome response to the election sh*tshow.

Quote

It's begun: The Weather Channel's nine-hour marathon of "the most beautiful, awe-inspiring, and calming weather video and scenery ever caught on tape," which seeks to be a balm to your fried and frazzled election nerves.

The network hopes to draw Americans away from yammering political pundits and potentially terrifying election results as this year's combative presidential race comes to an end.

The programming, featuring clouds, rainbows, autumn splendor and a soundtrack of smooth jazz, began at 3 p.m. ET.

The station will interrupt the peaceful views and broadcast bliss only if severe weather threatens, Weather Channel spokesperson Bailey Rogers said. But as of late afternoon, there is no severe weather forecast anywhere across the nation tonight.

Yup, I just wore some of my snowmobile gear, And increased my alcohol intake. Lol

same here. i was wearing a ski mask. when i went inside i bought a beer from a vendor, who asked to check my ID. i could have used an 80 year old woman's ID, and they would have no way of knowing since all they could see was my eyes and my mouth.

ICELAND:  Iceland is generally considered to be one of the most tolerant, safe, laid-back, and happy societies in the world. It has the most generous public welfare system on the globe and it is definitely one of the best places for creating a family. Not only is the progressive social safety net welcoming, but Icelanders are as well. The men here are hard-working, independent, friendly, educated, and are often speakers of fluent English. These men make great partners and women in Iceland generally enjoy a more friendly and positive domestic relationship with them than in other countries around the world. Traditionally, Icelanders value their travels and the knowledge gleaned from the outside world.

We visited Iceland this past summer. What a great destination. The people are very friendly and the scenery is breathtaking. Reminds me of a colder Hawaii with all the volcanoes, waterfalls and the terrain. The night life was also great in Reykjavik but that was the only place there was any on the itinerary I planned which was fine. To go skimobiling in July on a glacier was one of the coolest things I've ever done.

I was there in 1993 and I also did summer snowmobiling on Vatnayokull glacier. Stroker geyser and the volcanic activity are also neat to see.

Well, I think things are different now...patterns are different now...they are more intense and they last longer...Sweden is getting clobbered by record breaking snow, and we are stuck with an insufferable Ridge. It's quite possible that pattern length and intensity has surpassed our seasonal timeline...
