jbenedet
Pretty surprised by the lack of enthusiasm in here. This is awesome. Waves were already running 10-15' with significant erosion, BEFORE the recurve this morning. Coastal flooding impacts along from CC to LI will likely be significant. These same areas will also experience a 6+ hour timeframe of TS conditions.
Gwhizkids
FWIW, waaaay inland in NW CT, we are starting to see the breeze pick up. Still only in the 10-15 kt range, but definitely more than we've had (prob helps that I'm at some elevation). Of course, its 100% sunny too! It most certainly seems as if we might see tropical storm conditions verify for areas of RI/SE MA/Cape/Islands for several hours. Depending on track they may need to bring tropical storm warnings north to the South Shore? I did this quick map over the current visible satellite to give people an idea. TalcottWx
Models suggest this inches NW then sags SW slightly as it weakens, then it tranverses close to Cape Cod as a VERY weak and dying storm. I could see that scenario after taking a close look at WV loop. That might be like an inch or two eastern mass with gusty, crappy, cool weather. dan11295
At least this had amounted to more than the 2004 version of Hermine. They had TS Warnings issued for CC with that one, but no TS sustained winds occurred anywhere.
TalcottWx
Storm is getting squeezed by dry air on both sides now. Going to be a funky evolution south of us. Probably off and on rain showers up to BOS PVD, gusty winds for about the next day.

TalcottWx
Latest forecast cone for us from NHC is certainly wider than normal. Hints to lack of confidence in exact track. Impacts are pretty well ironed out, but where it will exactly go is not..Also have to take into account how long it's going to be spinning and wobbling south of us
