I am testing out the new precip-type color feature of GRLevel3, based off HRRR analysis of precip-type. The HRRR may get confused when so much of the lower atmosphere is close to 32F. Well, then again, you guys are saying there is sleet. I think sleet might be the orange color palette.

Looks like some people may get some moisture from Tropical Storm Cindy. Especially down south.

Looks like the models have backed off on a strong nino for winter. Looks neutral to weak nino at this time.

Neutral is historically a good look, correct?  

And yes, once Labor Day rolls around we can start having something to talk about.  Football at the least and winter predictions shortly thereafter.

For our area, neutral is good usually. Still depends on other factors though. 

About a 50% chance of neutral as of last update. Nino around 35%.
