I wouldn't mind 80s into October, as long as it's coupled with cool nights in the 50s, and of course some well needed rain. 75° dewpoint here making it feel like Mid-July. bkviking
Out here in Port Jefferson and seeing Dewpoint spreads of 74-76, similar though just a little shy of the extreme early August dews.. Still amazing for 9/10. Never want to say goodbye to summer but I am ready to cry mercy. Can't wait for Sunday afternoon dew drops.

We were dry in July, but starting in mid-August we got jackpotted on many events, from that crazy convergence line over northern long island which gave us 2 inches of rain, to Hermine raining over us for 3 days, to last night's deluge. I am looking at around 3-4 inches of rain in the past 3 weeks. Last night's rain was some of the hardest since i have been in this house (18 months). Davis at one point had a rainfall rate of close to 3 inches an hour. It was pretty impressive.
