North Balti Zen
96 in downtown Baltimore, I think. Holy balls was it hot on a very brief foray out to get lunch.

nw baltimore wx
My weather station's thermometer isn't working but I don't need it to know that it's hot outside. And humid. I also remember back in May that Accuweather's 90 day forecast didn't have a single 90 forecast for my location. Do I have any legal recourse? EastCoast NPZ
Nearest WXunderground station shows 79F DP and a 110F heat index. That is as high as I've ever recalled seeing a DP here.
jnis
Wow...this evening has turned into a 10! The steady breeze has offset the heat index resulting in a very pleasant time grilling burgers in the backyard.! I hope everyone is enjoying evening regardless of their backyard weather. Didn't we have something like 100/75 two weeks ago. All we had was a advisory. 85 with deep jungle conditions here in the woods.
PrinceFrederickWx
We're actually kinda overdue for an August heatwave- even in summers 2010-2012 the August heat wasn't that impressive really. I see (cirrocumulus?) clouds are moving in just in time to screw me. Never fails lol
PrinceFrederickWx
Skies cleared out just in time for the good stuff. Seen 8 meteors in the last 45 mins.

EastCoast NPZ
Stayed up til 2 AM to watch the meteors. Had relatively good sky conditions. Nice show. Probably saw 25 or so in the hour+ I was outside. Sitting out on the patio just staring up at the stars is a great way to spend a night. Too bad that was a Thursday...... GFS for the entire run never drops the 850s below 16°C, which is a decent marker for 90° on a sunny day.

MN Transplant
IAD has never had an 80+ low temp. NAM wants to let them try this weekend. Low was 77 this morning (a record). 91.1 at home
Sparky
Stood outside on the deck a little after midnight, crisp clear skies, saw a half dozen meteors in 10 minutes. Woke up a few hours later, went out briefly and caught 2 more. I don't know if last night was unusually heavy but it seems like it was to me. I normally miss them altogether. Obligatory weather report, hot and humid, washed my SUV early this morning before the sun got down on it. Felt pretty good then but very humid. 87storms
even though it's been a hot summer, i still prefer this over winter now. i used to be all about the snow to the point that i could deal with cold for a few months, but let's face it, the last 3 years were flukey. most winters we're happy with 2-3 decent events. it's barely worth it. also, all the tracking of winter events is kind of exhausting. in the summer, i don't need to track events because there is so much else to do. winters can be so drab i think that's part of the reason winter storms draw people in. it's something to look forward to aside from short, cold days. that said, i'm not a fan of global warming so i'm willing to deal with winter because it completes the cycle of seasons, but i definitely enjoy march through november more...minus the snowstorms...which, for many winters here, can be few and far between. but yea...it's gonna be gross out today and tomorrow. lol
