H2O
Its always fun to put kids to bed in the middle of a storm with lots of T&L. Even better to tell them that lightning can hit their pillow. I'm a terrible dad. What was also fun was getting the radarscope pro and watching all the strikes from those cells. It was a very impressive light show. 1.23" rain. That doubles what I've had for the past month.
WxUSAF
2.11" total after the second batch last night.

Incredible heat wave considering that we're coming off peak climo. I am betting against 100 today simply because of the rain last night. I think DCA was able to get there yesterday because it was still so dry. 96.8 with 1.29" of rain at home.
Stormpc
1.6 total. I did okay considering spots a few miles due north got half the amount however just east by a few hundred yards got 2.5-3.0.

nw baltimore wx
Only got .51" yesterday, and 1.10" for the past two days. No complaints though. The ground is still soft from the 4+" at the end of July and as long as the periodic storms continue for the next couple of weeks, aerating and fall seeding will be easy. Now if only I can get rid of the these darn raccoons.

mattie g
1.57" yesterday. The radar looked a lot more impressive than reality after the main cells moved through. Only picked up 0.15" or so in the couple hours after the heaviest stuff was done. It was a damn fine storm that's been a long time coming - easily doubled total rainfall of the past few weeks. wxdude64
Still wishing it was 3 years ago.....71.6/51.4 on this date here in 2013. Heck, 2014 would work too, 77.5/50.8. Just a T here, had several hours of T & L, but only sprinkles fell. Most went to our south and east. 88.2 for a high.

midatlanticweather
I am on vacation in Onancock, VA and the current temperature is 89 with a DP of 80. You feel like you can cut the air with a knife! HI is 106 but really it is just sweat like crazy weather! This is as nasty as I can ever remember it being! Eskimo Joe
Only 82 today. Doubtful we get past the mid 90s.
dailylurker
Lots of low clouds around still. I hope it burns off soon. It's wasting our heating. I ended up with about .35" from yesterday's storm. I just couldn't get under a good cell. Hopefully we can get some slow moving heavy rainers later this afternoon.

MN Transplant
84.6. Reminiscent of the day after the derecho where we ended up 7 degrees lower despite a similar-ish airmass.

EastCoast NPZ
87 / 78. It may not be quite as hot (yet) as the past several days, but it feels just as bad. I see that 90s have been added to my forecast for Friday now as well. Will bet that tomorrow's 89F verifies well into the 90s also.
Eskimo Joe
Still hot and humid, from a pure metrics standpoint it looks like we'll probably see a blue blox from I70 and points north sometime this afternoon.
high risk
pretty consistent signal in the HRRRX (and the operational HRRR too) for significant storms to move across northern MD during the mid/late afternoon hours. How far south the storms build (i.e. into DC Metro?) is still somewhat uncertain.
WEATHER53
Interesting yesterday that Bwi and Andrews were 93 while dca and Iad hit 100 and 96. Almost like a coastal front of some variety was west of bwi and Andrews and east of other two. This may explain in some manner how it really blew up right over us

Eskimo Joe
Sprint cellular service is affected throughout the area. Straight line today. 81 DP over the probably still wet garden/lawn. 90/77 at DCA
