Haven't had a low temp under 70 here since the 9th.

It's been a long, but for me enjoyable, stretch of warm Summer nights.

Forecast low in the area for Monday is 55, which should feel crisp.  Definitely need a sweatshirt in the morning.

Historic top ten warmest month streak continues for several stations since May 2015.

The three highest departures around the region through the 18th are...

POU...+5.6

LGA...+5.1

BDR...+4.9

It's definitely a trend over the last 12 summers especially since 2010. A realistic assumption is that summers will average about 2 degrees above the 1981-2010 averages as will most months.

No fall around here. Mid 80s with dew points near 70. A few days of lower humidity early-mid next week before the WAR retrogrades again w/ the mean trough in the Central US. BTW - My location's observations can now be found in my signature - on both the weatherlink and wunderground websites (thanks to the help of doncat).

NYC missed 90 today EWR had 14 straight 90(+) days in 2010 this one will likely end at 9 or 10.

Central Park record is 12 straight.

I believe LGA record is 12 too. That looks safe.  Right now LGA has 6 straight

(89, 89,) 97, 98, 98, 98, 93, 91.

Lows 75 - 84.

Hottest day overall was Sat (8/13)

98/84 mean temp 91.

I've basically been in line with LGA with with one more non consecutive 90+ day

( 91, [87,] 98, 96, 98, 94, 94, 91)

Thanks.

The heat the past few days under performed a bit, so I guess we don't have to worry about any records now. haha

Yeah, the super Nino kicked the already record warm pattern into higher gear since May 2015. We have never seen a 16 month stretch with so much record warmth before.

This is going to be the 8th month since then ranking in the top 10 warmest on record for many locations.

Here is LGA as an example

5/15....#3

8/15....#3

9/15....#2

11/15...#3

12/15...#1

3/16....#2

7/16....#4

8/16....#1..through 8/18
