Rock888
Strong storm here in Queens (Forest Hills). Wind driven pouring rain and and loud thunder. Sun is out now.
dWave
Wow lots of thunder and lightning here. Must be from storm just to the south over Queens, maybe clipping southeastern edge of Bx by the Throggs Neck bridge. In soundview now looks like it's raining looking at LGA, but dry here. Breaks of sun looking north

Isotherm
FYI, the latest weeklies indicate endless summer, which would coincide with the forecast, analogs, etc. We "cool down" to slightly above normal for the 22nd-26th period of August, before returning to above / occasionally much above weather right through late September. dWave
I hit 98. Which I thought may be a tad high but if LGA was 97, TEB 98 then it may make sense. Unlike LGA I had no rain at all. The park would indicate it was a run of the mill hot day, which anyone who walked more than a block could tell it was more than that. This kind heat wave is the worst when it comes to Park temps, too wet, daily t storms. JFK was warmer on a south wind all day.

NorthShoreWx
Was in the south part of Syosset during this evenings storms. Lots of lightning and thunder, but most of the rain was north of the expressway. We did get a nice double rainbow out of it at around 7:30.
