Here in Queens, first cell was awesome. Blinding rain, CG and booming thunder, VERY strong winds (probably around 50mph). The main band that came through about an hour later, dark as night skies and heavy rain, CGs, but wind and rain was not nearly as intense.

Just under 2 inches at my home station. The lightning was virtually non stop for a while. Craig Allen put out a FB post stating there were 60 flashes a minute within a 50 mile radius with the first batch that moved through the city around 5pm. That's midwest type numbers.

Pretty impressive day although probably fewer severe reports than a week ago. Central Jersey is getting it now

Picked up a storm total of 1.08" of rain so far, may add a little more to that. Winds probably gusted over 40mph when the main line came through around 5:30pm with very heavy rain and a decent amount of thunder and lightning. Had alot of poor drainage flooding in my area due to the heavy rain with some tree branches down and minor power outages but nothing major.

Current temp 74/DP 73/RH 95%

High for the day was 96
