NJwx85
Are we expecting thunderstorms today? Still quite a bit of MUCAPE around and even some meager SBCAPE but the modeling isn't showing anything more than sprinkles. We do have a piece of energy moving by to the North so I guess it's possible

NJwx85
Most of Long Island 1 inch+, nice little event to green things up before the heat rolls in. It's not going to be a dry heat. Scattered convection on Wednesday and Thursday and then more widespread activity Friday and Saturday. Typical self destruct mid-summer storms. NJwx85
Thursday night looks interesting for severe if we can get the timing to speed up some. The 12z 4k NAM has dew points in the mid 70's ahead of a strong line of convection.
